The GlenDronach
Established as one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, GlenDronach has a nearly 200-year legacy of crafting premium, richly sherried single malt Scotch whiskies. Embodying a true Highland style with its robust spirit, GlenDronach whisky is particularly well-suited for extended maturation in sherry casks. Since its founding in 1826 by James Allardice, the distillery has maintained the tradition of maturing its whisky in select Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía.
GlenDronach is recognized for its mastery of sherry cask maturation, yielding Highland whiskies with deep hues and complex flavor profiles, ranging from sweet fruit notes to dry, nutty undertones. Employing traditional, handcrafted techniques throughout its meticulous production process, from barley germination to spirit distillation, GlenDronach prioritizes the quality of its sherry casks, which contribute significantly to its distinctive richly sherried character.
