Kamiki is a premium Japanese whisky inspired by the spiritual heritage of Nara, Japan’s ancient capital known as “The City of Temples.” Protected by the priests of Omiwa Shrine—one of Japan’s oldest Shinto shrines—Kamiki honors the region’s rich tradition of alcohol production. It blends rare Japanese malt whiskies with select international malts and pure spring water. Uniquely, Kamiki undergoes a second maturation in Yoshino Sugi (Japanese cedar) casks, native to Nara’s forests. This innovative process imparts a smooth texture, sandalwood aroma, and a hint of green tea on the finish, making it the world’s first whisky finished in Japanese cedar casks. The name “Kamiki” means “God’s breath,” inspired by the sacred Miwa Mountain and its divine breezes.
